Blueberry Crisp
The most crispy and delicious...
This dish is perfect for any occasion whether it be for dessert or for a mid day pick me up. This is also easy enough to make for parties and gatherings. I truly love how fresh this dish tastes while offering the space for creativity. I like to enjoy this dish with some cold vanilla ice cream or a homemade whip cream!
Easy homemade whip cream if desired:
Take a pint size carton of heavy whipping cream (I use Organic Valley), put into a stan mixer or use a hand mixer and whip until you see peaks. I usually add in some vanilla to taste.
Ingredients:
2.5 cups of fresh blueberries
1 cup AP flour (I use King Arthur GF)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup cubed cold butter
Directions:
*** Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Add blueberries into pie dish (optional squeeze half a lemon overtop)
In a separate bowl add flour, brown sugar, rolled oats and cubed butter. Use hands to combine everything together. It should look clumpy to resemble a “crumble.” Once this crumble is combined spread it on top of blueberries.
Bake for 25 minutes uncovered, cover with tinfoil and cook another 10-15 minutes.
